Taylor McFerrin is a musical visionary. On his debut album, the son of Bobby McFerrin skillfully fuses soul, jazz, electronic and hip hop! Taylor McFerrin is a jack of all trades, as seems to be the norm for brainfeeder acts: producer, composer, pianist, DJ and live musician all in one, he now releases "Early Riser", his debut album on the Flying Lotus label. His love for detailed 60s/70s soul, hip hop, free jazz and electronic music is paid tribute to here - among others with top-class guests like Robert Glasper, Thundercat, Nai Palm, Cesar Mariano and his father Bobby McFerrin. Taylor's first EP, "Broken Vibes," has already caused quite a stir, and he has supported Erykah Badu, The Roots, Nas, Talib Kweli and Robert Clasper, among others, on their tours.
