Who has not run in the cinema at the extremely evocative sounds of the soundtrack a pleasant shiver down the spine? Certainly a milestone of the genre, which would have deserved an Oscar at the time, had Vangelis not already been awarded the coveted trophy shortly before for "Chariots of Fire". On this album, which was first released in 1994, you can find almost all the atmospheres that can be heard in the film and the visually stunning future scenario can also be felt on the album Starting with the mysterious "Main Titles" over the fantastic "Blade Runner Blues" to the sad "Tears In Rain" as the closing track, what is fascinating here, among other things, is the pauseless transition between the individual tracks, which thus create their own, almost mythical (sound) world. The antic "One More Kiss, Dear" is a welcome change from the ubiquitous synth sounds, "Rachel's Song" or "Wait For Me" (neither of which actually appear in the film) fit perfectly with the other tracks and atmosphere. Rarely could you "dive" into another world so well. The fascination that the film exudes is captured perfectly here and is hard to let go.
