Irma Thomas, born Irma Lee and widely celebrated as the Soul Queen of New Orleans, is a Grammy-nominated artist who recorded her first single in 1959. Her second solo album, released in 1966, included the song "Anyone Who Knows What Love Is (Will Understand)", co-written by Randy Newman and country star Jeannie Seely. The single reached #52 on the Billboard Top 100 charts, and the iconic song was used in several episodes of the popular science fiction television series Black Mirror.
