Ariana Grande: Yours Truly (LP)

"Yours Truly" is the debut album by American singer Ariana Grande. It was released on September 3, 2013 by Republic Records. Featuring R&B, "Yours Truly" was influenced by Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey. Grande describes the first half of the album as a "throwback" to '90s R&B music, and the second half as "very unique and very special that I've sort of written," which is completely new. On the album, Ariana Grande co-wrote six of the twelve tracks and recorded a number of songs on the album over a three-year period. She collaborated with Big Sean, Mika and Mac Miller. Occasionally, the album also dips into other genres, such as adult contemporary and dance music.
