The debut studio album was released on April 17, 1964 by Decca Records in the UK and was produced by then managers Andrew Loog Oldham and Eric Easton. The back cover of the album proudly proclaims: "The Rolling Stones are more than just a group - they are a way of life", and the album spent a total of 12 weeks at number 1 in the UK. The American edition of the LP, with a slightly different track list, was entitled "England's Newest Hit Makers". In keeping with the band's penchant for R&B, there is only one track credited to Jagger and Richards - "Tell Me (You're Coming Back)". Other tracks include "Route 66", "Carol" and "Can I Get A Witness".
