Violinist Itzhak Perlman celebrates his 80th birthday on August 31, 2025. To mark the occasion, a new edition of the limited edition “Complete Recordings On Deutsche Grammophon” is being released as a tribute to the great virtuoso Perlman. First released in 2015, the edition now brings together all of the award-winning violinist's recordings for DG & Decca in new packaging.
Between 1968 and 2001, Perlman recorded 25 albums for Deutsche Grammophon and Decca - many of them classics and with some of the greatest artists of his time. With an essay by Tully Potter, a personal memoir by Perlman himself and rare photos, this collection presents the legacy of a great artist in exemplary fashion. All 25 albums are presented with their original covers.
