The new album "While The Flood Rages" by Oscar-nominated composer Max Richter emerged from Richter's latest collaboration with choreographer Wayne McGregor on "MaddAddam," which is inspired by Margaret Atwood's trilogy. Across 15 tracks spread across three acts, Richter combines orchestral compositions with electronic elements, processed field recordings, choir, and piano to create a haunting sonic journey. Themes such as ecological collapse, technological progress, and resilience run throughout the album. Recurring piano motifs create moments of reflection amid dense, cinematic soundscapes.
