John Coltrane: Essential John Coltrane (2LP)

From his early days in Philadelphia to his ecstatic forays into uncharted musical territory, John Coltrane continually enriched modern music with new dimensions. His most important works can be found on the Impulse! label. “Essential John Coltrane” brings together exemplary Impulse! recordings from a catalog rich in masterpieces on two LPs in a gatefold sleeve, taking the listener on a journey through the classic albums “John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman” (1963), “Impressions” (1963), “Crescent” (1964), “Live at Birdland” (1964), “Duke Ellington & John Coltrane” (1963), and, of course, “A Love Supreme” (1965).
