Stro Elliot & James Brown: Black & Loud: James Brown Reimagined (LP)

To celebrate funk pioneer James Brown, UMe has teamed up with Sto Elliot for the release of "Black & Loud: James Brown Reimagined by Stro Elliot." Stro Elliot, who has worked as a producer with several GRAMMY award winners, spent his childhood playing, studying and listening to jazz, funk and soul legends, building an early relationship with James Brown building an early relationship with the music of James Brown. For "Black & Loud: James Brown Reimagined by Stro Elliot," Elliot had the opportunity to select ten classic James Brown hits and remix them, drawing inspiration from a variety of genres genres. On the song "She Made Me Popcorn" (remix of 'Mother Popcorn"), Brown's vocals are sampled in a hip- 'Machine No Make Sex" (remix of "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine") transforms the original transforms the original with Afrobeat rhythms and horns.
