Brother Jack McDuff: Moon Rappin' (LP)

Organist Brother Jack McDuff joined Blue Note in 1969 and recorded Moon Rappin', one of the most ambitious albums of his career. Released in 1970, it featured five funky, off-the-wall originals, including "Oblighetto," which was later sampled by A Tribe Called Quest as the basis for two of their classic hip-hop tracks, "Scenario" and "Check the Rhime." This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition was mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
