Between 1963 and 1967, Hammond organist Big John Patton and guitarist Grant Green formed a duo that was just as dynamic as Jimmy Smith and Wes Montgomery. During this time, they recorded eight albums together for Blue Note, six under Patton's name and two under Green's.
