The album "Getz Au Go Go", which was recorded at two concerts in 1964 at the Café Au Go Go in Greenwich Village and at Carnegie Hall, shows the tenor saxophonist at a musical crossroads. While one half of the recording with guest singer Astrud Gilberto is still dedicated to bossa nova, the other half focuses on his new quartet with newcomer Gary Burton on vibraphone.
