Despite a good reputation as a live band and two well-received albums, Yes had not yet made the commercial breakthrough to a wider audience that other bands on the Atlantic label had already achieved. With the arrival of Steve Howe as guitarist, "The Yes Album", with a better concept of what could be done in the studio with engineer and co-producer Eddie Offord and material that could be recorded with the same punch in the studio, managed to be the final step in capturing a wider audience in both Europe and America. Previously only available in earlier super-deluxe editions, this Blu-ray Audio is now being released as a standalone. It includes Atmos and 5.1 remixes (2023) by Steven Wilson, instrumental versions and 2023 stereo remasters by Bernie Grundman.
