Nils Landgren 70 - Jazz At BP XIX (2LP colored)

On February 15, 2026, trombonist and singer Nils Landgren celebrated his 70th birthday—as befits one of the most successful European musicians in his field—with a lavish orchestral album, *Love of My Life*, and a tour of major concert halls. ACT founder, patron, and friend Siggi Loch gave Nils Landgren a special gift: an evening as part of the “Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic” series, which he curated, in the main hall of the Berlin Philharmonie. In the first part of the concert, members of the ACT Family performed for “Mr. Red Horn.” After the intermission, Nils Landgren himself took the stage to thunderous applause—with an exclusive program dedicated to his great idol and longtime collaborator Joe Sample. Joining him were Michael Wollny, Lars Danielsson, Wolfgang Haffner, China Moses, and members of the Berlin Philharmonic, with arrangements by Magnus Lindgren. It turned into a soul-jazz party in the temple of classical music, with the entire hall dancing by the end—now available to listen to on “Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic – Nils Landgren 70.”
