Glen Hansard: Don't Settle (Vol. 2 - Transmissions West LP)

Following the success of “Don’t Settle – Transmissions East,” we now embark on the second part of this journey with “Don’t Settle – Transmissions West.” This album highlights an incredibly productive and multifaceted career and is not just a “Best Of”—it is a live studio album, with no second takes, no Auto-Tune, and no post-production. Simply live, raw, direct energy that captures Glen’s magic like nothing before. Recorded at the legendary Funkhaus in Berlin, a historic East German radio and recording studio featuring a massive, acoustically perfect live orchestra hall, the album was recorded and filmed over two nights in a controlled studio environment with 600 fans in the room. The album was produced and mixed by Glen himself, with support from sound engineer and producer Mike Goldsmith and sound engineer and producer Markus Schmitz. This release is accompanied not only by a nearly sold-out UK/EU tour that took him to Germany in May, but also by a feature film and a “making-of” documentary that chronicle this special time in Glen’s career, as we look back at the past and forward to the future.
