Popis
Enjoy The Ride Records and Enjoy The Toons Records, in partnership with WaterTower Music, proudly present the limited vinyl edition of "A Minecraft Movie (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)" featuring an electrifying selection of original songs and a dynamic soundtrack by Grammy and Emmy winner Mark Mothersbaugh. The soundtrack is led by the energetic anthem "I Feel Alive", written and produced by Jack Black, Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. Jack Black provides the powerful lead vocals, supported by Danielle Brooks, Mark Ronson on bass, Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters on drums, Troy Van Leeuwen from Queen of the Stone Age on guitar and Roger Manning on synthesizer. The song made its debut on March 19, when Black performed it live on Twitch and filmed an impromptu music video in front of an audience of over 250,000 fans. Of the collaboration, Black said: "It was exciting to work with legendary songwriters Ronson and Wyatt on the final song!" Ronson and Wyatt also praised Black's artistry, stating: "Jack Black possesses one of the greatest voices in all of modern music. From Tenacious D's debut album to his incomparable rendition of 'Hanukkah O Hanukkah', his voice electrifies the soul and the eardrums. When he first approached us at the 2023 Golden Globes, he told Andrew and I that he had been singing our song 'I'm Just Ken' in his head all day - the biggest compliment we could have gotten. Andrew and I had an incredible experience writing this song with him, and it's one we could only have done with this extraordinary man for this wonderful movie. We hope you guys really rock out to it." In addition to "I Feel Alive," Black contributes to three other songs that capture key comedic moments in the movie. "We had a blast spicing up the movie with little musical nuggets," he explains. "Jared (Hess) and I kept exchanging song ideas in the weeks leading up to filming, and I sent him little voice notes. We laughed our heads off and shaped them to fit perfectly into the movie." Rounding out the soundtrack is music by the legendary Mark Mothersbaugh, who seamlessly blends original compositions with tasteful nods to the iconic music from C418's Minecraft game. Mothersbaugh explains, "A Minecraft movie presented a unique challenge in creating a soundtrack that balanced the quirky characters with the intense action sequences. The music had to capture the charm of the characters while also driving the energetic moments. This required a thoughtful approach to ensure that the music not only complemented the action of the movie, but also added depth and emotional resonance, making it an important part of the story." "A Minecraft Movie (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)" is pressed on limited edition green vinyl as a 2xLP. It is housed in a gatefold sleeve and also includes a 12" x 12" double-sided, full-color insert featuring artwork from the film.
