Heather Greene: Sweet Otherwise

Heather Greene comes from New York. Her bittersweet compositions between pop, electro, jazz, folk and country, often spiced with a dash of irony and sarcasm, have made the Detroit native and self-confessed New Yorker successively known and popular at countless performances in legendary clubs like the Tonic. Two years ago, she became the new sensation of the New York underground music scene with her debut album "Five Dollar Dress". On "Sweet Otherwise" Heather Greene presents her own concept of modern singer/songwriter music, demonstrating an enormous stylistic range that extends from softly dabbed melodic arcs and delicately orchestrated, melancholy pieces to earthy rhythms and pulsating bass lines. Heather Greene's voice has a subtly rough timbre, it is present without dominating the songs and surprises with an amazing versatility.
