Black Keys: Peaches! (LP)

LP BLACK / "Peaches!" by The Black Keys is the fourteenth studio album from the Akron duo (their sixth since 2019), a vibrant and raw collection of 10 songs that singer Dan Auerbach describes as the band's "most natural record" since their 2002 debut "The Big Come Up". In a similar DIY spirit, the album was recorded with all the musicians in the same room, with few overdubs, and it's the first album the band have mixed entirely themselves since 2006's "Magic Potion". The song selection reflects Auerbach and bandmate Patrick Carney's obsessive record collecting, which has expanded into an ongoing series of Record Hang DJ set dance parties in recent years, where they spin old 45s for packed, energetic dance floors at the coolest venues around the world. The cover of "Peaches!" is based on an iconic image by Memphis-born photographer William Eggleston and marks the return of Patrick's brother Michael Carney, who serves as art director.
