“Elephants on Acid” is Cypress Hill’s ninth studio album and was produced by DJ Muggs—making it the first album he’s produced since 2004’s “Till Death Do Us Part.” For the recordings, Muggs reunited with B-Real and Sen Dog in Los Angeles; he also traveled around the world to capture the atmosphere and sounds that define the album from start to finish. Cypress Hill takes the listener on a musical journey: it leads from the alleys of Cairo in the song “Band of Gypsies” through the mystical atmosphere of Joshua Tree—where Ganja Sufi contributes a cannabis-inspired flow—all the way to the streets of Los Angeles in the track “Crazy.” The latter track brings listeners back to Cypress Hill’s signature sound and features soulful guest vocals by Brevi Wood. Other tracks by B Real and Sen Dog include “Warlord” and “Put Em In The Ground”—songs that will undoubtedly deliver to fans exactly the classic Cypress Hill sound they love so much. The album features 21 tracks, including an intro and interludes. And the very first single, “Band Of Gypsies,” makes it clear: B-Real, Sen Dog, DJ Muggs, and Eric Bobo remain true to their very personal and long-established, unmistakable sound.
