Popis
The composer Gustav Mahler admired Ludwig van Beethoven reverently, but as a conductor he regarded his scores primarily as material to be adapted to the orchestras and halls of the present day. Michael Francis and his Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz have devoted themselves intensively to Mahler's arrangements of Beethoven's works, which have long since been shelved: the triple album with all the "retouchings" is being released by Capriccio.
