There is hardly any worse news for a pianist than a broken thumb. Frahm, who has long been an international star of modern classical music and collaborates with contemporaries such as Ólafur Arnalds, Peter Broderick and Efterklang, was not deterred by the mishap (a fall from a bunk bed).
