Supergrass: Road To Rouen (20th Anniversary) (Limited Ed.) (2LP)

Supergrass announce the 20th anniversary edition of "Road to Rouen", their fifth studio album, which was originally released on August 15, 2005 and reached #9 in the UK Top 10. The title refers both to the French city in which it was recorded and to the Ramones' 1978 album "Road to Ruin". This album marked a more reflective phase for the band and contained longer, more orchestral compositions. It garnered much praise from critics and received 4 and 5 star reviews from publications such as The Guardian, Mojo and Uncut. The album includes the singles "Low C", "Fin" and the fan favorite "St Petersburg", a captivating and beautiful track with a hint of John Lennon's influence. It is arguably their most personal album and marked a departure from Supergrass' typically optimistic sound. This new, mellow and introspective direction made the entire album a critical success. To celebrate the 20th anniversary, we are releasing an expanded reissue of "Road to Rouen" with previously unreleased live and studio recordings. The album has been completely remastered for 2025. It includes a 16-page booklet with liner notes by Mark Radcliffe. Supergrass, founded in Oxford in 1993, is considered one of the most influential bands of the 1990s.
