"Love Beach" is the seventh studio album by the English progressive rock group, which was founded by members of The Nice (Keith Emerson), King Crimson (Greg Lake) and Atomic Rooster (Carl Palmer).
The album "Love Beach", first released in 1978, shows Emerson, Lake & Palmer at the end of their first creative phase. Recorded during a turbulent time for the band, the album offers a balanced mix of shorter, radio-friendly tracks and the side-long suite "Memoirs of an Officer and a Gentleman".
This 2017 remaster gives the original mix new clarity and separation, tightens up the rhythm section and adds definition to the multi-layered keyboard and vocal tracks. Tracks such as "All I Want Is You" stand alongside more expansive arrangements and reflect the stylistic changes of the late 70s.
For collectors and fans of the complete music collection, this remastered edition offers the best presentation of a polarizing but historically significant album in the ELP discography.
