Blue Mitchell: Graffiti Blues

In the 1970s, Blue Mitchell shifted its focus from orthodox modernism to jazz-funk, releasing Graffiti Blues with Freddie Robinson, Joe Sample and others, which had an earthy, street-oriented sound. The group plays three straight-ahead, funky blues, including the title track with Don Bailey on harmonica, as well as a couple Basic Sample originals and a Mitchell ballad on "Alone Again, Naturally."
