Vangelis: 1492: CONQUEST OF PARADISE (CD Expanded)

Vangelis' soundtrack to the 1992 film "1492: Conquest of Paradise" will be available as a reissued CD, which also contains the two bonus tracks "Line Open" and "Landscape". Director Ridley Scott, who created a captivating vision of the future with "Blade Runner" and a controversial look at the present with "Thelma & Louise", has taken a journey into the distant past with the film "1492", which reveals the provocative story of one of history's most mysterious figures, Christopher Columbus. It also tells one of the greatest adventure stories of the last 500 years. For the album "1492: Conquest of Paradise", Vangelis was awarded the Echo as International Artist of the Year in 1996 and the RTL Golden Lion for the best theme music for a television film or series. The album was also nominated for Best Film Score at the 50th Golden Globe Awards in 1993.
