Born in 1951, the musician, songwriter, keyboardist, guitarist and singer has played with Mike & the Mechanics, the band project of Genesis guitarist Mike Rutherford, in addition to his solo career, which has been active since 1980. Now, with "Another Side of Paul Carrack", the artist is releasing an extraordinary album for which he and the SWR Big Band have dedicated themselves to the genres of swing, blues, soul and big band. Recorded as part of a two-day TV special in the SWR studios, the work includes swing classics, distinctive Carrack songs and interpretations of popular pieces by Ray Charles and Nick Lowe. The show followed the concept of a performance without an audience, focusing purely on the musical elements and the work of all those involved.
