Beethoven's nine symphonies are regarded as one of the greatest musical testimonies of all time and are an important part of every conductor's repertoire. Simon Rattle performed the entire cycle with the Vienna Philharmonic in live concerts recorded for EMI between April 29 and May 17, 2002 at the historic Vienna Musikverein. The legendary recording of the 9th Symphony is now available in a limited edition on Red Gold Color Vinyl.
