The Cure: Greatest Hits (2LP)

Of all the bands that emerged in the immediate wake of punk rock in the late '70s, few were as enduring and popular as The Cure. Led by guitarist/vocalist Robert Smith (born April 21, 1959), the band became infamous through numerous incarnations for their slow, somber vocals and Smith's creepy appearance, a public image that often masked the complexity of The Cure's music. This "Greatest Hits" compilation brings together 18 of The Cure's most distinctive songs from the period between 1979 and 2001. The Cure's Greatest Hits and Acoustic Hits appear on vinyl for the first time. The artwork for each was created by the original design team at Stylo Rouge and includes out-takes from the original photo shoot.
