King Crimson: Starless and Bible Black

As a release sandwiched between the sensational "Lark's Tongues in Aspic" and the lasting impact of "Red," "Starless & Bible Black" was often overlooked within the King Crimson canon. Although the public was not aware of it to the same degree at the time of its release in March 1974, "Starless & Bible Black" is in large part a live album - an experimental hybrid album of concert recordings (most of them improvisations) and studio recordings. Most of the time, the two elements are so well-matched that it's difficult to keep them apart.
