The English trip-hop collective Massive Attack turned to dub music producer and engineer Neil Fraser, alias Mad Professor, to remix a song from their recently released album "Protection". After the single was remixed, the band asked Mad Professor to listen to more of the album to explore the possibility of further remixes. The project then became a track-by-track remix of almost the entire album entitled "No Protection Dub". This is no mere exercise in twiddling the knobs, Fraser explores these tracks in great detail yet strips them of almost all of their original identity and creates something new. If you are a fan of the Massive Attack original, you will be extremely entertained by this highly original and well-crafted musical masterpiece.
