Affinity: Affinity (Limited Deluxe LP)

Affinity: Affinity (Limited Deluxe Edition gatefold LP). Affinity was one of several British jazz rock bands in the early 70s. The band was formed by some students from the science department of Sussex University. Among them Grant Serpell (drums) and Lynton Naiff (piano), who then secured the services of the singer Linda Hoyle. Gemanaged by jazz club owner Ronnie Scott, the only album 'Affinity' by Vertigo was released. Songs like 'I Am And So Are You', 'Night Flight' and 'All Along The Watchtower', which were a mixture of jazz, rock and fusion, secured the band respect and recognition by their fans. Apart from that, Linda Hoyle was a brilliant singer.
