Miles Davis & Michel Legrand: Legrand Jazz (LP coloured)

Michel Legrand won countless awards for his film scores during his career. From the Oscar to the Golden Globe Award to the Grammy, he received virtually all the recognition that the industry has to offer Early in his career, he produced an album for which he hired more than 30 of the best jazz musicians of his time in 1958. Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Ben Webster, Phil Woods and just about all the other session musicians from New York agreed to record with Legrand his idiosyncratic arrangements of standards like "Django," "Don' t Get Around Much Anymore" or "Night In Tunisia." In three different groups they recorded an absolutely unusual album with Legrand Jazz in the Columbia studios.
