Quincy Jones: Big Band Bossa Nova (LP)

With this successful album in 1962, Quincy Jones proved that light and airy bossa novas can also be played with a big band if the arrangements are made by a maestro like himself. Solo highlights were provided by flugelhorn player Clark Terry, alto saxophonist Phil Woods, pianist Lalo Schifrin, guitarist Jim Hall and flautist Rahsaan Roland Kirk.
