Popis
With this volume, our main aim is to bring the unique melodies and harmonic world of Chinese music closer to beginner-level pianists. Some of the pieces are written especially for children, while others are arrangements of Chinese folk songs, and some are based on excerpts from Chinese stage works. The piano pieces selected by Dan Zhaoyi feature cheerful themes, melodies that may sound unusual to European ears but are easily accessible - often pentatonic - and playful piano techniques that make exploring Eastern music enjoyable for young pianists. The editorial suggestions provided after the pieces offer additional ways to enrich the performance. The publication is available in both printed and digital versions. In the digital edition - which can be accessed for free using a unique code found in the printed version - all the pieces can also be listened to. Additionally, the illustrations included in the printed edition can be coloured in. The length and difficulty of the pieces gradually increase throughout the book, allowing even beginners to start confidently with the easiest pieces.
