Marga Muzika: Marga Muzika

Armed with a rich array of instruments such as the cello, flute, bagpipes, percussion, and jaw harp, mandolin, and guitars, Marga Muzika has been performing at nearly every Baltic festival since 2009—ranging from folk and world music festivals to gothic and even metal festivals—and has also performed live here in Germany, such as at last year’s Bardentreffen. Now, at long last, the debut album from this eight-piece band from Lithuania is being released. With their ethno-folk drawing from a wide variety of sources (in addition to sutartines—the ancient polyphonic songs of their Baltic homeland—Slavic and Balkan elements are also present), they are sure to find an enthusiastic audience among all fans of Dikanda, Dhaka Brakha, and similar acts.
