Pineapple Thief: Far And Wide

On their sixteenth studio album, *Far And Wide*, The Pineapple Thief sound more like a rock band than ever before. Still progressive. Still masters of creating a spine-tingling atmosphere. Still in tune with the strange, restless world around us. And now—a decade and seven albums after Gavin Harrison joined on drums—they capture the chemistry, the miles traveled, and the bigger stages of recent years. This real-time energy is clearly palpable in these songs. Starting with the atmospheric sounds of the opener “New World Order,” this music hits hard—full of bite and imposing shadows, without sacrificing the subtle twists and the lightness that come so naturally to them. In other words: rock songs of genuine class and nuance. “Far And Wide” is about shared foundations. An abstract collection of feelings about the state of the world that explores human experiences in a way that perhaps only music can.
