Popis
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five were a pioneering hip-hop group that formed in the South Bronx in New York City. They were known for their innovative DJ techniques and socially conscious lyrics, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007. This compilation features “The Message,” one of the most influential hip-hop singles of all time, as well as “Scorpio”—one of the greatest electro tracks ever produced. An unvarnished, direct, and visually striking portrait of Black street life in New York in the early 1980s, as well as a fascinating time capsule of the first attempts at rap in album format—this album earned respect in its own right.
