My Chemical Romance: The Black Parade (2LP pink)

"The Black Parade" is the third album by the rock band from Belleville, New Jersey. The album sold well over 300,000 copies worldwide in its first week. The success of the concept album *The Black Parade* was so great that My Chemical Romance also structured their music around an overarching narrative for its follow-up, the excellent and underrated *Danger Days* from 2010: *The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys*. *The Black Parade* has deservedly made My Chemical Romance the biggest rock band in the world. Even fourteen years after its release, it remains the definitive album of the emo generation. “The Black Parade (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)” by My Chemical Romance includes the original album as well as six bonus tracks: three live recordings from “The Black Parade World Tour” (2007) that have never before been released on physical media, plus three rare B-sides. Among the live recordings is “Someone Out There Loves You,” which MCR fans have long referred to as “Stay”—a song performed on tour but never officially recorded. “The Black Parade” was released in October 2006 and builds on “The Patient” by exploring its reflections on life and the transition to the afterlife—based on the concept that death haunts people in the form of their earliest, most cherished memories. Pressed as a double LP on baby pink vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with a removable O-card, a new art insert, and two printed inner sleeves.
