Selena Gomez: For You (2LP)

Selena Gomez, a multiple platinum-certified artist, recently unveiled her new single, “The Heart Wants What It Wants.” The song will be included on the greatest hits album “For You,” set for release on November 28, 2014. “The Heart Wants What It Wants” was co-written by Gomez herself and German musician, songwriter, and manager David Jost (known for his work with Tokio Hotel, among others) and produced by the hit-making collective “Rock Mafia.” It is an extremely emotional song about unrequited love. The video for the track was shot in Los Angeles by the renowned and award-winning director Dawn Shadforth (e.g., Florence & The Machine, Charlie XCX, Kylie Minogue, and Oasis). “For You” features three previously unreleased songs: “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” “Do It,” and a Spanish version of “More,” as well as remixes of “My Dilemma” and “Forget Forever.” “For You” is Selena Gomez’s final album to be released on Hollywood Records. Her highly anticipated new studio album will be released via Interscope Records; the contract has already been signed.
