The drum and vibraphone legend was a style leader on Blue Note albums of the 1960s, including Wayne Shorter, Freddie Hubbard and Joe Henderson. Now Chambers returns to the label as a leader, with his own compositions, standards and pieces by Wayne Shorter, Bobby Hutcherson and Horace Silver. The multi-instrumentalist accompanies himself here in part on drums, vibes and percussion. Timeless modern jazz with Latin flair and a wonderful blue note revival of a still lively jazz great.
