Popis
Fourth studio album of the hard rockers around Steven Tyler from May 1976, with lots of classic tracks: from "Back in the saddle" to "Last child", "Rats in the cellar", "Sick as a dog", "Nobody's fault" and "Home tonight". Besides Kiss, Aerosmith were probably the most famous hard rock band from America at that time. "A must-have album for rock fans who prefer the '70s or are just discovering the decade because of their youth." (Good Times, June/July 2017) "Rocks" is the fourth studio album by American rock band Aerosmith and was released on May 3, 1976. The album was a commercial success and brought three singles to the Billboard Hot 100, two of which reached the Top 40 ("Back in the Saddle" and "Last Child"). "Rocks" was ranked 366th on Rolling Stone's updated list of the 500 greatest albums of all time in 2020. In June 2023, Aerosmith will release a comprehensive reissue series of their catalog for the first time via Universal Music! It kicks off with the years 1974-1979, during which the albums "Get Your Wings, 1974," "Toys In The Attic, 1975," "Rocks, 1976" and "Night in the Ruts, 1979" were released by the American rock legends. In these years Aerosmith laid the foundations for their decade-long career. With the second studio album "Get Your Wings" Aerosmith drew attention for the first time a little more loudly. Although the album did not reach chart positions, it paved the way for further success. Namely - "Toys In The Attic." With nine million records sold, the global hit "Walk This Way" ft. RUN-DMC and a Rolling Stone Magazine honor of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time" at #228, Aerosmith ushered in a nearly 50-year era of success. The 5-piece rock band confirmed this with their next studio album "Rocks". More Hard Rock and Heavy Metal angehaucht Aerosmith charted directly in the Billboard Hot 100 and went quadruple platinum with this record.
