Kian Soltani: Cello Unlimited
Popis
Kian Soltani with Cello Unlimited on the trail of great film music. As if he were the lead and supporting actor, director and film crew all rolled into one, the cellist here plays every part of his arrangements for cello orchestra. He arranged music from Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings, The Da Vinci Code and The Bourne Identity, and also presents two new works of his own inspired by cinema - an unprecedented journey through film music and a tribute to giants of Hollywood film music such as Hans Zimmer and Howard Shore. "I want to take listeners into emotional and epic worlds and awaken in them the same excitement that gripped me about this music when I first heard it." Cello Unlimited not only tells of the boundless richness of film music, but also of a musician who knows no boundaries, who shows himself here not only as a masterful performer, but also as an arranger and composer. In addition to the title number, he also composed the piece "Intermezzo: A Scene from the Past". "Everything on this album was done exclusively with the cello. Its potential knows no bounds. Cello Unlimited is a homage to this instrument, but also to film music. Because it manages to build bridges between people of all ages, but especially the young, and the world of classical music. Of course you can call me a classical cellist, and as such I have done a lot: chamber music, solo recitals, concerts with orchestra and I have also gained experience as an orchestral musician. All of that was going to go into this album, because here I was an orchestral cellist, a soloist, and a chamber musician. Thanks to the recording technology, I could actually be everything at the same time!"
