After debuting in 2020 with the album "Open Up Your Head" and immediately reaching number three in the UK charts, the follow-up, album number two by Sea Girls, arrives in 2022: "Homesick". Due to the Corona pandemic, lead singer Henry Camamile returned to his home and childhood home in Lincolnshire, England. There he was forced to process the good and bad events of his past - the inspiration for the album, on which the singer-songwriter delves into and candidly reflects on some of his darkest moments Along with producers Larry Hibbitt, Jacknife Lee, Jonny Coffer and Cass Lowe, Henry co-produced the album. Of the recording, he says, "Imagine us locked in the studio in rainy Brixton, working on the album with producers from afar in Topanga Canyon, California. This clash of worlds is the sound of this record, the DNA. It was a crazy idea to make an album this way, 5,000 miles apart, and it shouldn't have worked, but it did." The first single "Sick" shows how well, which Henry Camamile describes as follows: "In 'Sick' I list things that piss me off and feel sorry for myself. It's a song about growing up, realizing I'm not a little kid anymore. I sit at home in my bedroom, ranting about my thoughts and going into the abyss of my annoyance. I'm sick of everything from things I used to love to things that feel empty, like consumption and buying. All these emotions are piling up, and I'm asking for a reset, a childlike resolution."
