"Live And Dangerous" was released in 1978 and is arguably one of the best live albums of all time. It was recorded in London and Toronto in 1977, during the tours for the albums Johnny the Fox and Bad Reputation. This live album was originally planned as a studio album. Thin Lizzy worked with producer Tony Visconti, who had had great success with the previous album Bad Reputation, and the group wanted to work with him again. However, Visconti had a very tight schedule, so Phil Lynott came up with the idea that they should spend two weeks together and put together a live album instead. This box set is the definitive version of the album and includes all the shows that make up the album, remixed by Ben Findlay from the original multitracks, mastered by Andy Pearce and supervised by guitarist Scott Gorham. This puts to rest the rumors that the album was extensively overdubbed in the studio, and it is presented here as the shows were meant to be, with the rawness of a band that was at the top of their game night after night. Rounding out the package are notes by Mark Blake of mojo and a booklet with rare photos and memorabilia.
