L. S. Dunes: Guitarist Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance), guitarist Travis Stever (Coheed and Cambria), vocalist Anthony Green (Circa Survive), bassist Tim Payne (Thursday) and drummer Tucker Rule (Thursday/Yellowcard) came from the thriving emo, post-punk and hardcore scenes to break away from the expectations and aesthetics of their already successful careers. The resulting debut album Past Lives is a boundary-pushing, futuristic synthesis of post-hardcore, art-rock and punk that quickly established L.S. Dunes as a commanding newcomer. The seeds of L.S. Dunes were planted during rehearsals for the 2020 Christmas livestream event, which featured friends and acquaintances from some of their favorite bands. The chemistry during the random, impromptu jam sessions was instantaneous.
