The album "Tarkus" is the second album of the legendary progressive rock supergroup Emerson, Lake and Palmer. In 2016, the longplayer is now re-released, completely remastered as an LP as well as a double CD with additional highlights. Originally, "Tarkus" was released back in 1971. The rock suite finally sealed the band's breakthrough. The album even reached number one in the UK charts. In Germany it reached number four. Both the double CD (Deluxe Edition) and the LP contain a 24-bit / high-density remaster of the original album. The bonus CD on the Deluxe Edition also features the Alternate 2012 stereo mix by star producer Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) as well as the three bonus tracks "Oh My Father", "Unknown Ballad" and "Mass (Alternate Take)". The deluxe edition is rounded off by an extensive booklet with current interviews with Greg Lake and the recently deceased Keith Emerson.
