Einaudi's magical sounds carry you off into dreamy worlds!
On "Nightbook", the master of deceleration has taken some ideas for subtle sonic extensions from the work with Robert Lippok, who is one of the guests on the album. These are joined by friends from earlier projects such as cellist Marco Decimo and viola player Antonio Leofreddi, who add subtle nuances to Einaudi's sound world. He himself, in turn, dares to take a step into the pathetic, into the ecstatic, without losing his anchoring in the creative clarity.
Ludovico Einaudi is one of the stars of the contemplative segment, has sold around 750,000 albums and is a welcome guest on the stages of renowned concert halls all over the world. On his travels around the globe, he created the music for "Nightbook", his sketchbook of melodic night thoughts.
His breakthrough came with the album "Le Onde" (1996), which even found its way into the British pop charts. With "Divenire (To Become)" (2007) he created a suite for piano, two harps and orchestra, which the director of the bestselling film adaptation "The Reader" (2009) Stephen Daldry liked so much that he used the part "Primavera" for the film trailer.
Ludovico Einaudi's latest solo work "Nightbook" is joined by guests such as Robert Lippok, the cellist Marco Decimo or the viola player Antonio Leofreddi. Recordings were made in Milan and at the Planet Roc Studio in Berlin, in a noticeably relaxed atmosphere, and thus another masterpiece by an artist whose sound worlds capture people's souls.
